Games nights Thursday 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. starting September 21st! Games are also available for use in-library, just ask at the front desk.

Apples to Apples

Just play a Black Apple card from your hand that best matches the White Apple card from the judge. If the judge picks your card, you win the round!

  • Age 12+

  • 4 to 10 players

Betrayal at House on the Hill - 2nd Edition [video]

Your fear will grow with each tile you place as you investigate a house filled with dreadful monsters and deadly secrets. With 50 fiendish scenarios (including seven new haunts) and dozens of danger-filled rooms, you'll return to the house again and again - as often as you dare - and never face the same game twice.

Catan 5th Edition [video]

Your adventurous settlers seek to tame the remote but rich isle of Catan. Start by revealing Catan’s many harbors and regions: pastures, fields, mountains, hills, forests, and desert. The random mix creates a different board virtually every game.

Geek Out! [video]

Find out once and for all which player is the most Knowledgeable about your favorite geeky pop culture subjects! you don't have to be a geek (but it helps!) to win this amazing social interaction and bluffing party game of geek lists! This limited edition includes the original 205 geek out cards and a bonus tabletop limited edition mini deck with new cards and new lists.

Geek Out! POP Culture Party Card Game

Whether you're an expert in TV, movies, music, literature and more, you'll have a blast finding out once and for all which player or team knows most about your favorite pop-culture topics. You don't have to be a pop culture expert (but it helps!) to win this fun social interaction and bluffing game of pop-culture geek lists!

Lanterns: The Harvest Festival [video]

Place tiles, adorn the Palace lake, and dedicate lanterns in this beautiful, fast--paced board game set in Imperial China. Players act as artisans decorating the Palace lake with floating lanterns. The artisan who earns the most honor before the festival arrives wins the game.                                        

  • Age 12+

  • 2 to 4 players

  • Playing time: 20 - 40 minutes

 

One Night Ultimate Werewolf

In the course of only one night and the following morning, the players will determine who among them is a werewolf...hopefully. One Night Ultimate Werewolf is a micro game of the party game Ultimate Werewolf that doesn't need a moderator. There's no elimination and each game lasts about 10 minutes.

  • 3 to 10 players

  • Playing time: 10 minutes

 

Qwirkle [video]

The rules of the game are basic: simply build lines by matching tiles based on either color or shape, and score points for doing so. The ability to build complex combinations will keep children interested and engaged, and challenge them mentally. Qwirkle is playable from early ages up, allowing young children and older individuals alike to develop and hone their spacial recognition, planning, and problem solving skills.

Superfight

Superfight is a game where you argue with your friends over ridiculous fights. The main deck consists of 500 cards, split between character cards (white cards), and powers and weaknesses (black cards). These cards are used to create fights like this: A kindergarten class that breathes fire and is wearing jetpacks vs. A pirate swinging a shark on a chain and riding a Segway. As you can imagine, the arguments over who would win the fight are epic and hilarious.

Sushi Go! [video]

Pass the sushi! In this fast-playing card game, the goal is to grab the best combination of sushi dishes as they whiz by. Score points for making the most maki rolls or for collecting a full set of sashimi. Dip your favorite nigiri in wasabi to triple its value. But be sure to leave room for dessert or else you'll eat into your score! Gather the most points and consider yourself the sushi master!

  • Age 8+

  • 2 to 5 players

Ticket to Ride [video]

A cross-country train adventure game. Players collect train cards that enable them to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who can fulfill their Destination Tickets by connecting two distant cities, and to the player who builds the longest continuous railway.

  • Age 8+

  • 2 to 5 players

  • Playing Time: 30 - 60 minutes

 

Tiny Epic Galaxies [video]

A dice-driven, empire-building game involving planet acquisition, resource management and the innovative “follow” mechanic. Race other players in a race to 21 victory points. Keep track of your precious resource culture as it will allow you to follow other players and keep on top of the action.

  • Age 14+

  • 1 to 5 players

  • Playing time: 60 minutes

 

Tsuro: The Game of the Path [video]

Place a tile and slide your stone along the path created, but take care. Other player's paths can lead you in the wrong direction - or off the board entirely. Find your way wisely to succeed. Stay the path - your journey begins here.
