Free computer classes
The Whitewright Public Library will be offering two free computer classes during June, in the library’s community room.
Computer Basics – Tuesday, June 14th at 2 p.m.
For those wanting to learn the very basics of how to navigate a computer. Skills covered include learning how to use a mouse/touch pad and keyboard, navigating a web browser, and how to set up and use Gmail (free email account).
Job Search Skills – Tuesday June 21st at 2 p.m.
An introduction to job searching skills. Topics covered will include how to online job search, complete a job application, and résumé writing.
The library now has a “laptop lab” thanks to a grant from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission’s Edge Reimbursement Program. The grant also included chairs for use in the library’s meeting room, which will allow the library to present more programs to the community.
You can bring your own laptop, or you can use one of the library’s, but due to limited availability, please call to reserve your spot.
If you have any questions or would like to reserve a spot, please call 903-364-2955.
