Book Sale

The Whitewright Public Library will be hosting a book sale on Friday, October 31st from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 1st, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Whitewright Area Chamber of Commerce will also be hosting Downtown Trick or Treat on Friday evening, and the Fall Festival on Saturday.

The sale will be at 111 W. Grand Street (next door to the Chamber of Commerce), with a huge selection of books, DVDs, and more. Items are $1 each on Friday, with a clearance sale of $5 a bag on Saturday. All proceeds benefit the Whitewright Public Library.

We are limited in storage space, so please call if you have a large donation. Items should be in good condition (preferably with a copyright no older than 1980), and can include children’s books, hardcover or paperback fiction or non-fiction, DVDs, Blu-ray, and videogames. We do not accept textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, VHS or cassette tapes, or pamphlets.

Volunteers are needed before the sale to sort materials, and on Saturday to pack up at the end of the sale.

Please contact the library for more details, 903-364-2955.
