Whitewright Public Library

2021 Book Sale Report

The Whitewright Public Library’s annual sale is complete, raising $1,076.16 for the library, with 137 customers.

We’d like to thank our volunteers: Alec Battles, Tamela Claborn, Jeremey Huffman, Trinity Huffman, Jenna Lee, Jeannie Lyons, Ashley Mickelson, Ava Mickelson, Ella Mickelson, Christy Sacco, and Twila Stone. We’d also like to thank the Missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bonham for packing up at the end of the sale: Elder Nelson, Elder Kemp, Elder Moulton, and Elder Hewett. Special thanks to the Public Works Department, and to Olivia Hutcheson for assistance with the venue.

The library takes material donations year-round, but we have limited storage space, so please check with library staff before bringing in a large donation. Books should be in good condition (preferably with a copyright no older than 1980), and can include children’s books, hardcover or paperback fiction or non-fiction, DVDs, Blu-ray, and videogames. We do not accept textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, VHS or cassette tapes, or pamphlets.

Want to support the library beyond the sale? We accept monetary donations and maintain an Amazon Wish List, though you are not required to purchase from Amazon. If you do shop Amazon, visit our website at whitewright.lib.tx.us and click on our Amazon Associate link before shopping. The library will receive a percentage of the sale to use towards new materials.
