July Summer Reading Programs

Summer Reading is here, and we’ll be having a busy month after being closed for July 4th.

July 6th is our popular Touch-A-Truck program. Our trash service plans to bring a truck this year. Do you know of a vehicle that could participate this year or next? Please let the library know.

July 13th we’ll be hosting a visit with service dogs from Scout’s Legacy. Learn about how they’re trained, and how they can help their humans.

July 20th is Cosplay Day. A portmanteau of "costume play", participants wear costumes to represent a character. From Halloween costumes to Renaissance Faire garb to convention ready outfits, show us what you've got! This program will be held at 111 W Grand, next to the Chamber office. We’ll have a Cosplay Contest for those who want to participate. Judges are needed!

July 27th is Library Lagoon. We’ll have a water slide and a bounce house on the Event Lot across the street from the library. Don’t forget the sunscreen! We’re looking for someone willing to loan us a pavilion tent to provide a bit of shade.

We will not have our Homeschool Connection or TAME Club this month, but they’ll return in August. LEGO Club will continue on each Tuesday at 4 p.m.

We’d like to thank this year’s sponsors: Gateway, Sonic, Legend Bank, and Jake Shockley State Farm. Without their support, we wouldn’t be able to provide the services we do to our community. It’s not too late to become a sponsor, just contact the library for more information.
